Anna Pugh collaborates with the Jigsaw Creators Project
You may remember us getting excited about being one of the artisan makers in collaboration with Jigsaw for their Creators Project. The time has now come when the limited edition Anna Pugh bag is available in selected stores. Bringing together independent designers across the fields of jewellery, millinery and bag design, The Creators Project is a celebration of the process of design and craftsmanship.
The exclusive handmade bag was inspired by an existing handwoven design and Jigsaw’s Spring/Summer 16 mood. Anna Pugh is passionate about the research and development involved in each of her designs, intuitively forming an idea in her head and then moving straight on to the leather, experimenting with bulldog clips to create the shape. Shape is a fundamental element in Anna’s work, citing 20th century sculptor Constantin Brancusi as a key inspiration. A proud independent maker, Anna enjoys the individuality between each bag produced as an antidote to fast, factory-made fashion.
